Bellevue University offers many degree programs on and off line.

College Credits
Q | Will Bellevue University accept college credits from other institutions?

Bellevue University evaluates each transcript individually. The Academic Dean and Registrar reserve the right to accept or reject credit from other institutions.
To begin a credit transfer from another school, you need to request an official transcript from that institution(s) be sent directly to the Registrar's Office at Bellevue University. Copies of transcripts are acceptable only for preliminary evaluation. Official transcripts are required for formal transfer of credits.
You can use the Transcript Request Form to have transcripts from other institutions sent to Bellevue University.

Study Tool
Q | When will I receive my study tool?

You should receive your FREE study tool within 7 to 10 business days after your start date. Since you may cancel your enrollment right up until your start date (grace period), it is necessary that your study tool be ordered on your start date. It is not necessary to have your study tool to begin your coursework.
Q | Can I request changes on the specs of a study tool?

Q | Can I receive multiple study tools if I register for more than 12 credits?

No. Study Tools are limited to one per term.
Q | Can I send my study tool to an address other than my own?

Yes, you may request your study tool be sent to another domestic or international (APO only) address. Please tell your BU SELECT Enrollment Specialist when you enroll for the course to ship it to an alternate address. To prevent lost or delayed packages, please ensure you provide us with the correct name, shipping address, phone number and be sure the third party is aware of the pending arrival of the item for signature.
All shipments require a signature at delivery. When the package is released by signature, the study tool is no longer the responsibility of Bellevue University or BU SELECT.

Studying your course
Q | Who can I contact with questions regarding my course?

When your enrollment is complete, you are assigned a personal BU SELECT Student Support Representative, who provides support throughout your term. Contact information is provided in your initial email and in subsequent emails sent throughout your course duration. You may also contact your Student Support Representative at 1.866.487.4800.
Q | Am I required to do all coursework online?

No. BU SELECT provides each military student with a Student Packet containing courseware in DVD-ROM format. This gives you the option to study offline, but you must upload your course progress in order to receive a grade. It is recommended to upload (or synchronize) your progress to SkillPort on a regular basis. (Once a week is a good idea.)

Q | How do I study offline?

To begin your coursework OFFLINE, please follow the instructions for offline study included in the Complete Course Setup Guide. You will need your Student Packet to begin.

To begin your coursework ONLINE, please follow these steps below:
- Click on the User ID link on the BU SELECT website (www.buselect.com)
- Enter your User ID and Password, provided in your Student Packet
(Note: User ID and Password are case-sensitive). - Go to 'My Plan' which contains your courses.
- Complete the courses in the order listed.
- Test Prep and Mentoring Lessons are NOT required for course completion, but can be helpful.
- 'My Report' gives you a current course progress status.
- When all coursework is completed, please contact your Student Support Representative to start the grading process.

- You may be required to pay back Tuition Assistance used to fund your course to the military. Tuition Assistance may garnish fees from your wages.
- You may not receive the college credits associated with your course.
- You may receive an "F" from Bellevue University for your course, which will be reflected on your transcript.

If you are deployed, please contact your BU SELECT Student Support Representative immediately. A copy of your deployment orders may be required for an extension and must be approved by the Dean of IT at Bellevue University.

No. The online courses from Bellevue University, via BU SELECT are a part of a degree plan. The coursework will prepare you for specific certifications (if applicable), should you wish to do so.

Extensions
Q | Can I request an extension for my course?

You can, under specific circumstances determined by Bellevue University. Effective October 1, 2010, extensions will be granted only by the Dean of IT at Bellevue University. A copy of your orders or other situation will most likely have to be provided.
Please note that all BU SELECT courses are for a term of 18 weeks only. After the term ends, and you have not completed your coursework, you will receive a grade of "F" which will be reflected on your transcript. You may possibly have to pay back the tuition, if course completion is not reached.
